As Video Specialist, you will be in charge of capturing in-game and live footage designed to promote Dual Universe. You will become an expert in all things Dual Universe, learn to master the in-engine capture tools, and team up with a very passionate Video and Marketing team to tell the most exciting stories about the game. If you’re a natural story-teller and have an eye for cool and cinematic shots, you will really help us make a difference. This is an exciting position in which you’ll be at the heart of spreading the word about a true gaming revolution!
Responsibilities Capture in-game footage for various promotional videos and trailers, using Unigine’s built-in and homemade capture tools. Capture live footage of the development team with camera/microphone. When needed, set up the hardware for any type of live footage or in-game capture (green screen, microphone, etc.). Deliver video outputs in various formats. If you have the right skillset, occasionally edit videos. Regularly synchronize with the rest of the video team to ensure alignment and regularly report progress for the various videos in the plan. Upon request, deliver shot location scouting or shot description prior to capture. Deliver video assets on time and on quality. Occasionally help deliver graphic elements such as screenshots, using the same capture tools as in-game footage. Any other video-related tasks upon request.
In-depth knowledge of video games, in particular MMO, MMORPG, and PC games. Have a genuine interest in Dual Universe and sci-fi. Experience in video capture/filming and editing, ideally in a professional context; if not, ability to show proven results as a hobby. A solid knowledge of video formats, codecs, compression levels, video outputs, and sound/image syncing and mixing. Ability to understand a video brief and translate it into incredible video game footage that meets the brief. An eye for camera angles, zoom levels and scene staging. Very comfortable with computers and software in general; able to learn new capture tools quickly. Good English working skills (written and oral).
Additional skills and experiences (appreciated but not required) Hands-on experience of Premiere, After Effects or any other similar professional video software. Experience with Maya. A degree in Filmmaking, Video editing, Photography or relevant digital visual arts. Experience capturing live footage, manipulating a camera, microphone and lights, and monitoring sound and light levels. Experience capturing quality footage from well-known industry engines such as Unreal, Unity or Cryengine.
