Dear DUdes and DUdettes,
As you can imagine, this is a very important step for us and we're so pumped up! You know we're always busy and actively working on Dual Universe's development, but we're also tackling the numerous aspects that an independent self-publishing game company has to handle behind the scenes. This new office has been one of our key action points of the past few months, along with the hiring of new talent both in Paris and Montréal.
When fully operational, this new studio will aid our Paris location's goal of shipping the game in 2020. As you know, the scope and ambition of our project are enormous and this additional help will be of invaluable use. We want to give a warm welcome to Stéphane D'Astous! We're thrilled to have him with us!
About his arrival in the team, Stéphane said: «It's a true honor to join the Novaquark team and open a world-class studio in Montréal. Working with a visionary genius like Jean-Christophe is a rare opportunity that I could not refuse. The game on which we will be working on, Dual Universe, is an immensely ambitious game that will change the way we experience and play video games. No other gaming studio in Montreal is working on this type of game, it’s a great addition to our city. »
Stéphane led the foundations of Eidos-Montréal and of Square Enix-Montréal studios, which developed critically acclaimed titles such as Deus Ex: Human Revolution, Tomb Raider, and Thief. Stéphane was also the former Director of Operation at Ubisoft-Montréal and actively contributed to its early growth.
To help JC and Stéphane building our new studio there, we have a list of many opened positions in production that you can find here! If you think you or your friends have what it takes to work for NQ, well send your application right away!
With even more talented people coming aboard and you, our awesome community members, we hope to make our dream project come true! Thanks for your incredible support and let’s DU it!
