What is Dual Universe?

Dual Universe is a Continuous Single-Shard sandbox MMORPG taking place in a vast Sci-Fi universe, focusing on emergent gameplay with player-driven in-game economy, politics, trade and warfare. Players can freely modify the voxel-based universe by creating structures, spaceships or giant orbital stations, giving birth to empires and civilizations.

Construct vs Construct Stretch Goal Reached!

Thanks to our amazing community, we have reached the Construct vs Construct stretch goal! Next one is the Bounty System! It will be the last stretch goal available before the Official Release (currently scheduled for the end of 2018).

Our longtime fans and followers know that we have other stretch goals that were not met. This does not mean we are going to cancel these! It's just that they won't be implemented for the Official Release. They will just be part of one of the continuous free expansions we will work on after the Official Release. We still have a lot of features in the pipeline so if all goes well, players can expect a lot of free expansions in the coming years for Dual Universe!

    When we say "massive", we mean it. We have developed a unique way to handle lots of players all at once so they can share experiences in a single continuous, undivided universe.

    The politics within Dual Universe will depend on the players. Ideologies, powers, ideas and gameplays will emerge as they have done throughout history.

  • Voxel Building

    Using voxel technology, players have the creative freedom to design and build anything they can imagine. Spaceships, buildings, cities, satellites, there is no limit.

  • Scriptable Ships & Constructs

    For advanced players, the ability to script any ship/construct (LUA) to redefine how it is controlled, from navigation to weapon systems. You can even script your own A.I. to assist you!

  • Realistic in-game economy

    The economy in Dual Universe is realistic and influenced by the masses. Initiate a market exchange, harvest resources and sell them, start an industrial empire, do marketing and logistics, create a bank or your own company.

  • Team-up or go solo

    Ships can involve hundreds of players specializing in weapon, nav-systems or repair. Get on the deck of the Enterprise and command your crew! ...or go solo and explore the cosmos on your own.
